medical city means??
Apapun orang kata saya tetap bangga dengan paklah kerana orang yang tinggi pendidikan agamanya, seorang anak ulama, boleh menjadi imam semasa beliau mentadbir negara, bidang-bidang agama subur semasa beliau memerintah, ketelusan makin dirasai hingga ada pihak tidak menyenangi. Perkara asas kuat amalan agamanya tidak ada pada seorang pemimpin apatah lagi perlaksanaan tugas yang lain…….alamat semuapun acuan baratla selamanyaaaaaaa
IIUM medical city is supposed to be the next big thing for the uni. From several reliable sources, there were many things that happened to this medical city before this ground breaking project. to make the story short, IIUM was given the opportunity to develop this medical city and it is aimed at capturing the medical tourism sector in the region. yup, it’s a medical tourism which means that it will be a private project funded by GLC ( or GLCs?) and IIUM. it’s is located near to KLIA and klang valley, which means that it really wants to attract foreigners to come and get their healthcare in our country.
the medical city is not meant to replace the current ‘health campus’ in kuantan. it is supposed to be built for biz and commercial purpose. the medical city is supposed to have medical related industries as it’s main thrust; private hospital with hotel class hospitality services, pharmaceutical research labs, drug companies, housing areas etc etc. so, from undergraduate perspective, it wouldn’t really affect the undergrads very much as the related kulliyyah’s will still remain as status quo. maybe we’ll have some temporary shortages of lecturers as some of them will be stationed over there. However, ONLY POST GRAD STUDENTS are allowed to go there, to do their training and possibly work at there.
i’m not sure of how many kulliyyah will get involved in this (perhaps medicine, pharmacy,allied health sciences and nursing will be greatly involved). but the hype and rumors of this medical city has been spreading like fire around my small community. if it’s true, then it will be sort of relief for us, since kuantan campus also need a teaching hospital but it hasn’t become a reality for the time being.
i’m looking forward to this medical city as one of the prospect in my future career.
PM akan rasmi pecah tanah bandaraya perubatan IIUM
NILAI 30 Mac — Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi akan merasmikan upacara pecah tanah bandaraya perubatan Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (IIUM) di Bandar Enstek, dekat sini esok.
Penolong Pengarah Pejabat Perhubungan Awam IIUM Ahmad Md Redzuan berkata bandaraya seluas 528 ekar itu akan menempatkan sebuah universiti, hospital, pusat penyelidikan kesihatan perubatan, kompleks perubatan, pusat komersial, pusat konvensyen, hotel dan asrama pelajar mengikut model inisiatif kewangan swasta.
“Projek perubatan IIUM ini merupakan peluang gemilang bagi kulliyyah perubatan dan IIUM mengembangkan lagi perkhidmatan universiti dalam konteks internationalisasi,” katanya dalam kenyataan yang difaks ke Bernama di sini hari ini.
Beliau berkata latihan lepasan siswazah dalam bidang kejururawatan, farmasi, pergigian dan sains kesihatan gabungan akan juga ditawarkan sebaik saja prasaran sesuai siap.
Bandar Enstek adalah usaha sama antara TH Properties Sdn Bhd, anak syarikat Tabung Haji, dengan Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Negeri Sembilan (PKNNS).
Bandaraya bersepadu ini menampilkan siri pembangunan luas perusahaan, komersial, kediaman dan institusi serta prasarana dan fasiliti moden.
Bila siap pada 2025, Bandar Enstek akan mencapai nilai pembangunan kasar dianggarkan hampir RM9.2 bilion.

Reliable source quoted that IIUM Kuantan teaching hospital has been approved as well. He also confirmed that IIUM Medical City is primarily for post-grad students. Apparently, the administration Kulliyyah of Medicine have been informed of this project last year.
Yang aku heran, matric a.k.a. cfs masih lagi diantara dua, tiga, atau empat alam. Kenapa UIA tak invest nak buka cfs yang proper? Susah je org2 arts dept. Kami ni bukan sebahagian UIA ke? Dah dipinggirkan.
It’s okay to have the medical city in Nilai…let it be.. but East Coast peopole also required the attention of all the expertise, specialist from IIUM, the original idea to have a University Hospital (IIUM) in Kuantan is great, mesti dilaksanakan untuk khidmat social kita kepada rakyat negeri Pahang khususnya dan pantai timur AMnya.Rakyat Negeri Pahang berhak menerima khidmat dari Hospital IIUM, just imagine how big of the lands have already been given to IIUM. I really hope IIUM and all related faculty will urged to have a Hospital in Kuantan to serve East Coast Community. West Coast actually dah ada macam-macam university hospital, UPM-serdang, UKM, UM, letter UiTM..all near to their campus…then IIUM nak pergi Nilai..kenapa?

Medical city kat nilai tu dah bungkus la. Hospital akan dibina kat uia kampus indera mahkota dekat tapak pejabat jkr uia kuantan. Terima kasih tok najib!. Memang memahami hasrat warga uiam kuantan. kami kat sini payah nak berkembang kalau takde hospital sendiri. nak produce specialist pun susah. Idea medical city kat Nilai tu memang tak lojik dari awal2 lagi…sape tah yang buat cadangan cam tu…buat susah orang kuantan je.
Tak sabar nak tengok launching hospital baru tu tahun depan…dengar2 lebih dari 10 tingkat. KMC pun akan buat hospital kat sini jugak…meaning 2 hospital area ni… wowwww….cam tak caya la plak.
